JS returned to Kirtland, Ohio, from journey to Mount Pleasant, Upper Canada.
JS and Sidney Rigdon accompanied Freeman Nickerson on a short mission to New York and Upper Canada in October and early November 1833 to preach to Nickerson’s family and friends. One of Freeman’s sons, Moses Nickerson, was baptized during the mission. In this letter to him, JS reported on matters in Kirtland, Ohio, expressed his love for the new Canadian converts, and encouraged those converts to be faithful. JS sent the letter from Kirtland, Ohio, and Oliver Cowdery transcribed this copy into JS Letterbook 1.
