In January 1833 at Kirtland, Ohio, JS wrote a substantive letter for publication outlining the early church’s message to the world, sending it to N. C. Saxton, editor and proprietor of the American Revivalist, and Rochester Observer, at Rochester, New York. Saxton, however, chose to print only the concluding portion of the letter in the Revivalist. Disappointed that his entire letter had not been published, JS responded with this note.
