presented his bill as follows
To the Presidents and High Council of Zion I have served as one of the committee to build a to the name of the Lord in the City nine months and have spent one hundred dollars in traveling— sixteen dollars in boarding hands at work in the stone quarry which money I owe and being destitute of means to support my family I ask of them whether they will grant to me orders on the for the money and one dollar and fifty cents per day for my services.
