Baptized into LDS church, 1835. Ordained an elder, 1835. Moved to Missouri, 1837. Built house near Hawn’s Mill settlement on Shoal Creek, Caldwell Co., Missouri. Survived attack at Hawn’s Mill without injury, 1838. Moved family to Kentucky while serving mission to Tennessee, 1839. Lived in Macoupin Co., Illinois, 1840–1841. Lived at Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, 1841–1846. Member of pioneer company at Camp Ponca on Niobrara River in what is now Knox Co., Nebraska, 1846–1847. Moved near area that became Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, 1847. Migrated to Salt Lake City, ca. 1850. Served mission to Indians in southern Utah Territory, 1854. Died at Parowan, Iron Co., Utah Territory.
