Boynton, 21 Mar. 1833.8 Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834.9 Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1834.10 Ordained an elder, 1834.11 Labored on Kirtland temple, 1835–1836.12 Ordained a seventy by JS, 28 Feb. 1835, in Kirtland.13 Served a mission with Harvey Stanley, 1835.14 Served missions to New York, 13 Apr. 1836–6 Mar. 1837, and to North Carolina, June 1837.15 Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, 9 Oct.–12 Nov. 1838.16 Expelled from Missouri; moved with father’s family to Knox Co., Illinois, 25 Dec. 1838.17 Appointed to serve mission to Virginia and North Carolina.18 Presided over branch in Philadelphia, June 1843–Mar. 1844.19 Admitted to Council of Fifty, 25 Apr. 1844.
