Wool’s company, 1813–1814. Married Harriet Sherwood. Moved to Galway, Saratoga Co., by 1830. Baptized into LDS church by Stephen Burnett, May 1832. Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834. Ordained a seventy by JS, 28 Feb. 1835, in Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Moved to Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. Member of Nauvoo Legion, 1841. Served mission to New Orleans, 1841–1842. Member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge. Deputy sheriff of Hancock Co., 1843–1844. Member of Council of Fifty, 1844–1882. Ordained a high priest. Moved to what became Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa Territory, 1846. Migrated to Centerville, Davis Co., Utah Territory, 1852. Moved to Kanarra (later Kanarraville), Kane Co., Utah Territory, 1866. Died in Kanarra.
