Defended JS in trials in Chenango Co. and Broome Co., New York. Visited Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, May 1844, as delegate from Chemung Co., New York, to elect JS as U.S. president. Moved to Mexico, Oswego Co., New York, by 1855. Married second Mercy Foster, by 1855. Buried in Three Mile Creek Cemetery, Clayton, Jefferson Co., New York.
