20 Sept. 18011–22 Feb. 1882.2 Shoemaker.3 Born at Beverly, Essex Co., Massachusetts.4 Son of Thomas Carrico and Deborah Wallis.5 Baptized into Unitarian church, 27 Sept. 1801, at Beverly.6 Married first Mary E. Raymond, 30 Aug. 1827, at Beverly.7 Wife died, 1833.8 Baptized into LDS church by John F. Boynton, 24 Mar. 1834, at New Rowley (later Georgetown), Essex Co.9 Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, Aug. 1835.10 Married second to Elizabeth (Betsey) Baker by JS, 14 Jan. 1836, at Kirtland.11 Ordained a teacher, Feb. 1836, at Kirtland.12 Lived in Missouri and then settled at Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, Apr. 1842.13 Appointed counselor to Bishop Jonathan H. Hale at Nauvoo.14 Ordained a high priest, Sept. 1842, at Nauvoo.15 Later joined RLDS church.16 Moved to Galena, Jo Daviess Co., Illinois, by 1850; to Boyer, Harrison Co., Iowa, by 1860; and to Jefferson, Harrison Co., by 1870.17 Died near Logan, Harrison Co.18
