Articles of agreement entered into this twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty between of the Town of & State of Illinois of the One part and Samuel P Hoyt of the Town of & State aforesaid. Witnesseth—
That the Said for the consideration hereinafter set forth obligates himself his heirs, executors and assigns to make and execute a good and sufficient deed for all those lots of ground Situated in the County of and Territory of Iowa and Known as Lots— Ten and fifteen in the City Town Plot of Ah. my pe tu ck, to the Said Samuel P Hoyt his heirs executors or assigns In consideration of which the said Samuel P Hoyt hereby obligates himself to pay the first cost of said lots above mentioned and deliver up peaceable possession of the North west qr of Section nineteen Township fifty <Sixty> Six, range four <west> and also the North East qr of Section twenty four and the south half of the south west qr of section twenty four and the south east qr of Section twenty three in Township Sixty Six range five west— to the said as aforesaid his heirs or assigns.
It is further agreed upon that the said reserves to himself the House Logs on Lot No ten put on by David Bennett or provided he pays the costs which accrued in as such bought by the Said Samuel P Hoyt against the said David Bennett before Squ[i]re P paid [p. [1]]
