This is to certify that Joseph Smith and have mutually entered into the following agreement, to wit: That the said Joseph Smith is to give the said the use of his farm, formerly known as the Scovil farm, for the current year, allowing him the usual privileges of leased farms; for which the said binds himself herewith to pay the said Joseph Smith fifty three dollars and fifty cts— payable in improvement to be made on the farm during the year, at the usual prices— such as breaking Prairie, making rails and fensing— &c.—
