This Indenture made and entered into this fifth day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty one between of the County of and State of of the one part and Joseph Smith of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the Said Joseph W Smith the Receipt ofwhich <whereof> is hereby acknowledged have, granted, bargained, and Sold and ed, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, Sell and Quit-claim to the said Joseph Smith, all my Right, title, interest, claim in and to the ferry— privileges as deeded to me by between Late in and State of and in , excepting one third of said ferry [p. 403]
