Recived on the within Obligation five hundred Dollars on the day of the date of this Obligation being the 30th. day of April AD 1839 thereby cancelling one of the within mentioned promisory notes and also Received on this 29th. day of October 1839 the sum of fifteen hundred dollars being payment of a promissery note mentioned within as one of the notes securing the five thousand dollars as described in the Obligation thereby cancelling the said note within the time stipulated for payment as witness our hands this date of October as above written
