In Consideration of Two hundred [d]ollars to me to be paid as follows viz: Thirty dollars on demand— Eightyfive dollars with interest on the first day of November Eighteen hundred and forty— And Eighty five dollars with interest on the first day of November Eighteen hundred and fortyfour.— I of Hancock County State of Illinois— do hereby obligate myself my heirs executors, administrators and assigns to make and execute a good and sufficient warrantee deed to [blank] his heirs executors, administrators or assigns for all that lot of land— known on the map of said Town of as Lot No four in Block— one hundred and twentyfour.——
And for the performance of this obligation I hereby bind myself— my heirs— executors— administrators and assigns in the penal sum of Four hundred dollars.——
This bond to be in full force and virtue provided the abovementioned payments be well and duly made at the periods of time above specified, otherwise to be null and void.—
