KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I —— of the county of and State of am held and firmly bound unto Joseph Smith Trustee in Trust to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints—— of the county of —— and State of his heirs and assigns, in the sum of Two hundred—— dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, I bind myself my heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That whereas, the said —— have this day sold unto the said Joseph Smith Trustee in trust &c —— a certain lot of ground, situated, lying and being in the county of and State of , and described on the plat of thes addition to as being fractional Lot No. four in Block No. fourteen —— and received in payment for said lot notes of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum ofone hundred—— dollars, and payable as follows, with interest:The receipt whereof, is hereby acknowledged The description of Land intended in the above obligation is as follows To wit:— The West half of Lot No four in Block No Fourteen of s addition to the city of , commencing on the South East corner of said Lot & running West on Parley Street Fifty two feet thence North 175 feet, thence East 52 feet; thence South 175 feet to the place of beginning. Said Lot being on the East end of s addition, and joining Lot owned by John E Royce Lot on the East
The interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now, if the said Joseph Smith Trustee in trust &c— having paid the sum of one hundred dollarsheirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said note with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due,I the said bind myself my — heirs, executors and administrators, to make, or cause to be made, to the said Joseph Smith Trustee in Trust &c———— his heirs and assigns, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot on or before the Thirty first day of January A.D. 1844 and then this bond shall become null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
