Know all men by these presents that I Jahial [Jahiel] Savage of the County of and State of am held and firmly bound to Joseph Smith, Trustee in trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the sum of One thousand dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made I bind myself, my heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents—:
Now the condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Jahiel Savage has been appointed by the Church of Jesus Christ to collect funds for the building of the in the City of , Now if the said Jahiel Savage shall well and truly perform the said duties and make just and true returns to the said Joseph Smith Trustee as aforesaid of all monies or properties he may collect, and shall pay over <the same> to the said Joseph Smith trustee as aforesaid without delay, then this bond to become null and void, other wise to be and remain in full force and vertu
