Know all men by these presents, that I am held and firmly bound unto Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints of the county of and State of his assigns and successors in Office in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly be made, I bind myself my heirs and assigns, firmly by these presents. Now the conditions of the above obligation is such, That whereas, the said John A. Forgeus, hath this day sold unto the said Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints a certain Lot of Ground, situated, lying, and being in the county of and State of and described, as follows to wit; the West half of the East half of Lot four and Block nineteen of Kimballs Addition to ; for which he has received one hundred and fifty Dollars payment in full for the said lot the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Now if the said his heirs or assigns shall cause make or cause to be made a good and sufficient Warrantee Deed to the said Joseph Smith his assigns or successors in Office on or before the fourth day of July eighteen hundred and forty four. then this bond and all therein shall become null and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
