KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That We Joseph Smith Jun & of the county of and State of are held and firmly bound unto James C Snow— of the county of and State of his heirs and assigns in the sum of eight hundred dollars dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas, the said Joseph Smith Junr & have this day sold unto the said James C Snow— a certain lot of ground situated, lying and being in the county of — and State of , and described on the plat of the Town of as being Lot No. four in Block No. one hundred & fifty and received in payment for said lot ten notes of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum of four hundred dollars, and payable as follows.
The first for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1841
The second for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1842
The third for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1843
The fourth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1844
The fifth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1845
The sixth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1846
The seventh for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1847
The eighth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1848
The ninth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1849
The tenth for 40 dollars on the 5th day of March A D 1850
withThe interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now if the said James C Snow his heirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said notes with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, we the said Joseph Smith Junr & bind ourselves our— heirs, executors and administrators, to make or cause to be made, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot and then this Bond to become null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
