KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That We Joseph Smith Jun & of the county of — and State of held and firmly bound unto Justis Morse of the county of and State of heirs and assigns in the sum of one thousand two hundred and fifty dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas, the said Joseph Smith Jun & have this day sold unto the said Justis Morse a certain lot of ground situated, lying and being in the county of —— and State of , and described on the plat of theas follows— viz—as being Lot No.—in BlockNo.——and received in payment for said lot——noteofhand bearing even date herewith, for the sum ofdollars, and payable as follows.Situated and lying on the bank of the within the present plat of beginning at the N E corner of s lot— Running from said corner along the lower side of the Appanoose road five rods— Thence at right angles running to the bank or shore of said — Thence down said five rods— thence to the place of beginning— containing (probably) about forty rods of land be the same more or less— and received in payments for said lot three notes of hand bearing date even herewith for the sum of six hundred and twenty five dollars— one of $25— oo <on demand> one of $300— 00 payable <Seven years from date> one of $300— 00 payable ten years from <date>
with interest for each and every note to be paid annually. on the fourteenth day of July
Now if the said Justis Morse hisheirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said note with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, we the said Joseph Smith Jun & bind our selves our heirs, executors and administrators, to make or cause to be made, to the said Justis Morse his heirs and assigns, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot Nineteen years from the date hereof and then this Bond to become null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
