KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That We Joseph Smith Jr & of the county of and State of are held and firmly bound unto of the county of — and State of his heirs and assigns in the sum of Twelve hundred dollars dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas, the said Joseph Smith Jr & have this day sold unto the said a certain lot of ground situated, laying and being in the county of — and State of , and described on the plat of theas being Lot No. in Block No.as followsand received in payment for said lotnote of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum ofdollars, and payable as follows.It being in the Town Plot of being on main Street which runs North and South through the Town of North of the House built by Murr[a]y Seaman, East of the residence of Widdow Jane Judd, West of Block fifty two in the Town of and would be Lot No two in Block No fifty three, conditioned that it had been regularly plotted with said Town of & contains one hundred and thirty two rods, more or less. and received in payment for Said lot Five notes of hand bearing even date herewith for the sum of Six hundred dollars and payable as follows
The first for $120 on the 1st day of November A. D. 1842 1841
The second for $120 on the 1st day of November— A. D. 1844 1843.
The third for $120 on the 1st. day of November A. D. 1846 1845
The fourth for $120 on the 1st day of November A. D. 1848 1847
The fifth for $120 on the 1st day of November A.D. 1850 1849
with <The> interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now if the said his heirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said notes with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, we the said <Joseph Smith J & > bind ourselves our heirs, executors and administrators, to make or cause to be made, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot at the expiration of Twenty years from the date hereof provided the Town plot of be incorporated with that of —— and then this Bond to become null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
