KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS—That Ethan Kimball of the county of , and State of , has this day for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty— —— dollars in hand paid by John Low of the County of and State of , bargained and sold unto the said John Low—— a certain lot or piece of land lying and situated in Kimball’s [blank] addition to in said and last mentioned, as will more full appear by refference to the plat of said addition, being lot No. part of in block No. Lot No 69 in said addition to the Town of Nauvoo. and Block No. two (2) to wit beginning at the North west corner of said Lot— running East Six Rods and six feet thence south ten Rods and five feet to the North side of young street thence west six Rods & six feet thence North to the place of beginning, being in Kimballs addition to the City of ,—
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD The above described lot or piece of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said John Low his heirs and assigns forever.
And the said ETHAN KIMBALL for himself his heirs and assigns administrators and executors, do warrant and forever defend the title of the lot or piece of land against every person or persons claiming by, through, or under him in any manner whatsoever. or any other persons whatever
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF He has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal this 5th day of June— in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty–four
