To All to Whom these Presents shall come—Greeting:
KNOW YE, That Joseph Smith having been duly elected to the office of Justiceof the Peace forMayor of the City of in the county of I, , Governor of the State of , for and on behalf of the People of said State, do commission him Justice of the Peace for said county, and do authorize and empower him to execute and fulfil the duties of that office according to law.
AND TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said office, with all the rights and emoluments thereunto legally appertaining, until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified to office.
