for ballast, and they would just as soon take a hundred of the brethren in their ship as not, and as to ballast we could load our fire arms and that would serve for ballast. We will soon be able to build our own ships and send them all over the world, and it is what we have to do. We want a home where we can live without labor, so that we may have time and opportunity to go and preach the gospel to the islands of the sea, and also do up the other work with our enemies. When we find a place of this kind, that is the place for us to go to. Just as soon as this company finds a place where we can settle down in peace for a year or so, let them send us word back, and we will send a company as soon as possible.
