This Indenture made the twenty ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Forty Two. Between Daniel Law of the City of of the first part, and Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. of the City of Illinois of the Second part. Witnesseth. That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and twenty Dollars lawful money of the to him in hand paid by the said Party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has remised. released and quit claimed and by these presents doth remise release and quit claims unto the said party of the Second Part and to him as sol[e] Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints forever: All that certain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the State of in the tract appropriated by acts of Congress for Military Bounties known and described as following Viz: The North West Quarter of section thirty six, township seven north in range eight west containing one hundred and sixty acres, be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging and all the estate right title interest property. Possession Claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said party of the first part of, in, and to the above described premises and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances—
To Have And To Hold all and singular the above mentioned and described premises together with the appurtenances unto the said party of the Second Part as Sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints forever—
