To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting; Know Ye that we and Pamela [Permelia Bundy] Dayton his wife of the Township of County of and State of for the consideration of Eight hundred dollars, received to our full satisfaction of Rigdon Smith, Cowdery & Co, of the Town of , County of and State of , do give grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto them the said Rigdon Smith, Cowdery & Co, the following described Tract or lot of land situate in Tract No. two, Township No. nine in the Ninth Range of Townships in the in the State of and which is also in the County of and is known as part of Lot No. twenty three, and is bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot No. twenty three then West bounding on land owned by Amos Wheeler to land owned by then north bounding said ’s to land owned by Irene Pierson thence East bounding on said Iren Pierson’s land owned by Samuel Gore, thence South 18 rods, thence East to the centre of the old Road, thence South bounding on the centre of said road to the place of beginning, containing thirty Eight acres of land be the same more or less. Also one other piece in Lot No. 27, tract 2 in said Township and bounded as follows to Wit: Beginning at the Northwest corner of a lot of land bought of Oliver Higley which is in the centre of the Old road on Lot No. 27, thence East 17 rods 20 links to the centre of the new Road, thence Southerly, bounding on the center of the new road twelve rods & five links, thence west parallel with the north and 20 rods to the centre of the old Road, thence Northerly bounding on the centre of the old Road 10½ to the place of beginning containing one acre of land, be the Same more or less.
To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto them the said Rigdon, Smith, Cowdery & Co, their heirs and assigns forever to their own proper use and behoof. And also I the said do for myself heirs, executors, and administrators covenant with the said Rigdon, Smith, Cowdery & Co. and their heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing of these presents I was well seized of these premises and as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and Sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free from all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore I the said do by these presents bind myself <&> my heirs forever to Warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to them the said Rigdon, Smith, Cowdery & Co. their heirs & assigns against all lawful claims and demands whatsoever And I the said Pamela Dayton do hereby remise release and forever unto them the said Rigdon, Smith, Cowdery & Co. theirs heirs and assigns, all my right <&> titles of dower in and to the above described premises, In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals this thirteenth day of September A D one thousand Eight hundred and thirty six

Personally appeared & Pamela Dayton to me personally known as the Signers and Sealers of the above instrument and acknowledged that they did voluntarily sign and seal the same and that the same is their free act and deed. And I having fully made known and explained to the said Pamelia Dayton the contents of the above deed and having likewise examined her separate and apart from her said she declared that she did of her own free will and accord <voluntarily> sign, seal, acknowledge and as her free act deliver the same without the force coercion or compulsion of her said and that she is still satisfied therewith— Septr. 13, 1836 Before me Justice peace Seal
