Deed to Joseph Smith for Land in S. 36 in T 7 N of R 9 W.
This Indenture made and entered into, This twenty fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between and his wife, of the county of and State of of the first part, and Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, of the county of and State of , of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, party of the first part, for and in consideration of the love and good will they bear to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, of which the said Joseph Smith, party of the second part, is sole Trustee in Trust, and also for the sum of one Dollar, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, party of the second part, his successors in office and assigns for-ever, all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of in the State of known and described as follows, to wit. it being a piece and parcel of land situate and lying as follows, beginning at a post N. 46o East 176 Links from the North East corner of the South East quarter of section thirty six, in Township seven North of Range nine West, thence East Twelve rods, thence North eleven rods, thence West twelve rods, thence South eleven rods to the place of beginning together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Joseph Smith party of the second part, his successors in office and assigns, forever.
