whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith, as Sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, party of the second part, his sucessors in office and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the County of in the State of , known and described as follows, to wit, a certain 2 Acre lot of land lying in the West half of SW. Qtr of Section Six. Township 6 N. Range, 8 west of the 4th pr mer.— more particulary described as follows— Beginning at a point where the centre line of Spears Street in the City of , intersects the South boundry of a certain 4 acre lot of land deeded by sd. to Joseph Smith— Thence Westward along the south boundry of sd. four Acre lot, thirteen and one half rods:— thence Southerly parallel to centre line of sd. Spears Street, to the centre line of Parley Street in the aforesaid :— thence East along sd. centre line of Parley St. thirteen and one half rods to the centre line of sd. Spears street: thence Northwardly to the place of Beginning, containing two acres more or less, together with all and singluar the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said Joseph Smith party of the second part, his successors in office, and assigns, forever, And the said and Malinda his wife, party of the first part, their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises, unto the said Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in Trust &c, party of the second part, his successors in office and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will Warrant and forever defend by these presents— In Testimony whereof, the said and Malinda his wife party of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written, the words two hundred were interlined before signing.

I a Justice of the peace in and for the said , do Certify that and Malinda Barnett his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposed therein mentioned. And the said Malinda Barnett having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined Seperate and apart from her said , acknoweldged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said , Given under my hand and seal, this fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty four
