This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty first day of March in the Year of our Lord, One thousand Eight hundred and for three between Joseph Thorn and Lorana [Camp] Thorn his wife, of the county of and State of of the first part, and Joseph Smith, as Sole Trustee in Trust, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, of the county of , and State of of the Second part, Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Thorn and Lorana his wife, party of the first part for and in consideration of the love and good will, they bear to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, of which the Said Joseph Smith, party of the Second part is Sole Trustee in Trust, and also for the Sum of One dollar, to them in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknoweldged, do hereby grant, bargain Sell, convey, and confirm unto the Said Joseph Smith, as Sole Trustee in Trust, for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, party of the Second part, his Successors in office and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, Situate and being in the county of , in the State of known and described as follows, to wit, forty acres from off the South West, corner, of the South West Quarter, of Section number Twenty four in Township Six north Range Seven West Together with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the Said Joseph Smith, party of the Second part, his Successors in Office and assigns forever and the Said Joseph Thorn and Lorana his wife, party of the first part their heirs and assigns; the aforesaid premises, unto the Said Joseph Smith as Sole Trustee in Trust &c, party of the Second part his Successors in office and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and any person whomsoever do and will Warrant, and forever defend by these presents
