This Indenture made and entered into this eleventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty one between of the County of and State of and Joseph Smith sole Trustee in trust for the of the County of and state aforesaid
Witnesseth that the said for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and for my love and affection to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have granted bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith Sole Trustee in trust for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the following described tracts of land situated in No Nine in the Ninth Range of Townships, in the , in the State of , and which is also in Lake County and is known as part of Lots Nos 29–30 & 31 and is bounded as follows, to wit: on the east by the road leading from to Aurora and by s land, South by N Collins land and lot No forty three, and the line of lot No Forty two, agreeable to the new survey. West by land surveyed off to Seth Makepeace from Lot No Twenty nine and by the road leading by William Fosters. North by Lot No Sixteen and by Fifty one acres and twenty seven rods surveyed [p. [1]]
