Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Smith sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have this the 24 day of June 1844 bargained Sold and conveyed with Calvin C Downey for the consideration of fifty Dollars which Sum has been paid to my full Satisfaction a certain Lot of Land in the Town of and State of and is known as Lot. No three in Block no four in the first addition to the Town of To Have and to hold the above described Lot. of land to him the Said Calvin C Downey and to his heirs and assigns with all and Singular that pertains thereunto or may in any wise pertain thereunto and I Joseph Smith Trustee aforesaid bind myself and my Successors in Office to forever Warrant and defend the above described Lot of land against all claims lawful whatsoever In Witness Whereof I have this the Twenty fourth day of June Eighteen hundred and forty four set to my hand and affixed my Seal
