This indenture made and entered into this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred and forty three between Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of the County of and state of of the first part and Sarah [Scott] Mulholland of the County of and aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth: that the said Joseph Smith party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of the sum of Fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Sarah Mulholland party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of in the state of known and described as follows to wit one quarter of Lot number three in Block number one hundred and forty six of the City of commencing fifty one feet east of the South West corner of said Lot and running thence North five and a half rods thence East six rods thence South five and a half rods, thence West six rods to the place of begining Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining [p. 30]
