This indenture made and entered into this sixteenth day of Oct in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three, between Joseph Smith of the County of and State of of the first part and W M Wall of the same and aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said Joseph Smith party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Twenty five dollars to him in hand paid, by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part and unto his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the County of and state of designated as follows to wit lot No two in block No two in the first addition to town of , Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have and to hold the above described premises to the said W M Wall his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Joseph Smith party of the first part his assigns and the aforesaid premises unto the W M Wall party of the second part heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony whereof of the said Joseph Smith party of the first part hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above.
