Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Smith Jr. of the County of in the State of , for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to me in hand paid by of the aforesaid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised and ed and by these presents do grant bargain sell remise and quit claim unto the said and to his heirs and assigns forever all my right and title to the <that> piece or parcel of land situate in & and aforesaid deeded to William Miller & Joseph Smith Jr all of County of and State of , by & Sarah French his wife which deed bears date the fifth day of October AD one thousand Eight hundred thirty six. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders rents issues and proffers thereof and all the estate right, title interest, claim or demand whatever of me the said Joseph Smith Jr either in Law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises—: To have and to hold the same to the said and to his heirs and assigns forever.
