and his wife, of the county of and State of Illinois of the one part, and , & of the County of and State aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said , & their heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land, Situate and being in the County of in the State of Illinois viz: it being part of the North East quarter of section number eight in Township number Six North of Range number Eight West of the fourth principal meridian, commencing at a Stake fifty five rods East of the South West corner of said quarter section and running thence East twenty five rods, to a stake, thence North seventy four rods to a stake, thence west sixty seven and one fourth rods to a stake, thence south thirteen rods, to a Stake, thence East forty two and one fourth rods to a stake South sixty one rods to the place of beginning and containing fifteen acres of land be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said , & their heirs and assigns forever, And the said and his wife, their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises, unto the said , & their heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever by these presents defend. In testimony whereof, the said and his wife, of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written

I a Justice of the Peace in and for the City of in said County, do Certify, that and his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein therein mentioned. And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined seperate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she <had> executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her .
