This Indenture made and entered into this twenty eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between and his wife, of the County of and State of Illinois of the first part and , , and all of the County and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand four hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said , and , party of the second part, their heirs and assigns forever All that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of and State of Illinois and known and described as follows, to wit. All of the North East quarter of section number eight in Township number six north of Range Number eight west of the fourth principal Meridian, excepting thirty seven Acres in the south West corner of said quarter which is described as follows commencing at the south West corner of the aforesaid quarter and running thence East Eighty Rods; thence North Seventy four, thence West Eighty rods, thence South Seventy four rods to the place of beginning being as before stated thirty seven acres. Also all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County and State aforesaid and known and described as follows, to wit; it being part of the North West quarter of section number nine in the Township and range aforesaid, commencing at the South West corner of said quarter section and running thence East forty eight rods, thence North Eighty rods, thence West forty eight rods, thence South Eighty rods <to> the place of beginning, containing twenty four acres of land be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appurtaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said , and their heirs and assigns for ever. And the said and his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said , and party of the second part, their heirs and assigns, against the Claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
