Single leaf lined with 10 horizontal blues lines (now faded), measuring 3½ x 7⅞ inches (9 x 20 cm). The right edge of the recto has the square cut of manufactured paper; all other edges are torn, suggesting the leaf was part of a larger leaf or possibly a bifolium. The document was folded once horizontally. docketed the verso when the document was in an unfolded state: “G.R. Walbridge | Bill $36.28 | Due Oct. 18 1836”. A second docket in unidentified handwriting, likely inscribed when the document was folded, reads: “Sugar”. The bottom edge is folded forward and there is marked staining and coal dust on the document.
This document was in the possession of church agents who purchased sugar from Walbridge in . Based on the docket by , the invoice was in church possession from its reception, suggesting continuous institutional custody.
