To have the use of the & the New Brick Barn— the said J. S. reserving for the use for himself and family the small sitting Room on the East side of the Bar Room in the S[outh] W[est] corner of the , and the Bed Room above it and the small bed Room North of the latter; being the one over the Alley or passages
2nd. Also the Room now occupied by on the East end of the <until another more suitable place is prepared for her>
3rd. The said Joseph Smith also reserves the privilege of stabling for 8 horses and 2 cows if he see proper to keep so many, in the New Brick Barn. <4th> Also all the wood & chips now laying on the premises <for his own fires & to be brought in if required by the said > also the privilege of Room <and wate[r]> to wash wearing apparel &c 6th the privilege of making such improvement to the premises as he shall from time to time see proper.
The said agrees to pay as an annual rent for the same the sum of 1000 dollars <to be paid quarterly —>
2nd. The said agrees to pay all < & > taxes that may be due on the same during the time he occupies the said premises, also to keep the whole in as good repair as he finds it.
3rd. The said agrees to board the family of said Joseph Smith, consisting of himself his and four children Also two servants, Also and one Servant to attend her, during the time he shall occupy the said premises
