D. Sir— Since you and were at my house I have been anxiously waiting for some communication relative to the farms in and which were to have been given us in payment for Interest and for my Ivins note— I have recd. no letter and am much at loss to account for the delay— You must be aware that some arrangem[en]t should be made without very great delay— The liberal manner in which this transaction has been treated by me and my friends I think entitles us to reciprocal good feeling and promptitude of action— Will you oblige me by replying to this immediately?
I have been much gratified by seeing pu[b]lished in many papers here the glowing description of cer[e]monies at the laying of the corner stone for your great
