The false statements in those “Resolves” could never have resulted, from any but the abandoned, the desperate, the wicked even “untothedeath.”
I am a law abiding man, and so is the society, of which I have the honor to be a member, a law abiding society; and as a people we hold constitutional rights, and constutional friends as sacred as the blessings of heaven, or servants of god; and a as friend of law liberty and life, your may depend upon me: your enemies are my enemies: and in all honorable requirements, your have only to command, to elicit my co-operation.
