State of , viz: a part of Lot twenty five in Block six of s addition to commencing Two hundred links North from the South West corner of the North half of said Lot, thence North thirty three feet, thence East to the centre of Warsaw Street, thence South thirty three feet, thence West one hundred seventy seven and one half links to the place of beginning, be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Charles B. Swasey his heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said , his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever by these presents defend. This Indenture, made this the twenty second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forthy-four between & Sarah [Phinney] Foster of the County of and State of of the first part, and Joseph Smith as Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of the and aforesaid, of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars, lawful money of the , to them in hand, well and truly paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and his successors in office forever, a part of Lot numbered (52) in Block numbered (4) of s addition to , Hancock County, Illinois, commencing on the South end of Lot aforesaid, twelve Rods from the South East corner of the same, running thence North to the centre of Munson Street, thence East to centre of Fulmer Street, thence South to the South line of aforesaid Lot thence West along the line to the place of beginning as per survey of County Surveyor. And all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand, both at law and in equity of them the said party of the first part, of, in, and to the said premises, and every part thereof: Together with all and singular, the privileges and appurtenances, to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining: and the rents, issues, and profits thereof: To have and to hold, the said premises hereby bargained and sold, or meant or intended so to be, with the appurtenances, to the [p. 128]
