Know all men by these presents, that Ethan Kimball of the County of and State of , has this day for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by of the County of and State of , granted, bargained and sold, unto the said a certain lot or peice of land lying and situated in s addition to in said and last mentioned, as will more fully appear by referrence to the plat of said addition, being lot No. 53— in block No Four in said addition to the Town of . To have and to hold the above described lot or piece of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ethan Kimball for himself his heirs and assigns administrators and executors, do warrant and forever defend the title of the lot or piece of land against every person or persons claiming by, through, or under him in any manner, or any other persons whatever. In testimony whereof he has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal this 27th. day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-three

Know all men by these presents that and Melinda Stewart his wife of the County of , State of , has this day for and in consideration of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid by of the and above mentioned, granted bargained and sold unto the said a certain Lot or piece of land lying and situated in s addition to Nauvoo in the and last mentioned as will more fully appear by refference to the plat of said addition to the Town of , being a part of the North half of Lot twenty five in Block No six in said addition to the Town of bounded as follows, cornering at a stone twenty four by twelve inches, the South West corner of which is at the tence corner of Lots fifty two, fifty three, twenty five & twenty eight as placed in the centre of Iowa Street in s addition to running South with the center of the East line of Lot twenty five two hundred thirty three and a quarter Links, thence West parallel with the lines of said Lot, to the center of Warsaw Street, then North with the centre of said Warsaw Street two hundred & thirty three & a quarter links to a certain stone twenty by eight inches placed at the center of Warsaw and Iowa Streets, thence East to the place of beginning. To have and to hold the above described Lot or piece of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said his heirs and assigns forever.
