I a Justice of the peace, in and for the said , do certify that and Ma<r>y Ann Young his wife whose Signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, & who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Mary Ann Young having been by me made accquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined seperate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, & relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily, freely, & without compulsion of her said .
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twe<l>th day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four.

This Indenture, made and entered into, this 13th. of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four between and Lorena [Barrow] his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and Lorena his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, Situate and being in the county of in the state of , viz: commencing at the North East corner of a certain half acre of ground, laying in the South West part of the South West quarter of Section thirty one, Township Seven, North of range eight, West of the fourth principal Meridian, Deeded to the said by , thence South Six rods, four Links, thence West to the centre of Brigham Street in the City of , thence North Six Rods four Links, thence East to the place of beginning be the same more or less.
Together with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever.
