This Indenture, made and entered into this eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty four between and his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and Frederick Merryweather of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the the said and his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and Seventy dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the Said Frederick Merryweather his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the state of , viz: beginning at a point forty four feet and three quarters from the South west corner of Lot Number four in Block Sixteen running on a line with Mullholland street, East twenty five feet thence North Eleven Rods thence West twenty five feet thence South to the place of beginning it being a part of Lot No four in Block Sixteen of ’s addition to .
Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Frederick Merryweather, his heirs and assigns forever.
