and best bidder, on credit of six months” in Town lots or Blocks, or such other division as the interest of said wards shall require” and whereas afterwards, to wit, on the eighth day of August between the hours of ten o’clock in the forenoon, and five in the afternoon of said day, the said premises having been duly advertised, surveyed and laid out into Town lots, as the law directs, the said Guardian, at public sale, openly sold and struck off to the said , the following described premises, for the sum of Fifty Seven dollars and fifty cents, he being the highest and best bidder, & no person having bid more, for the same! which premises so sold are known and designated, as follows, to wit Lot Number (1) one, in Block Number (1) one in the addition to belonging to the heirs of deceased.
Now Therefore, this indenture witnesseth, that the said Charlotte Ann Robison, Guardian as aforesaid, for & in consideration of the sum of Fifty Seven dollars and fifty cents, to her in hand paid by the said John Dalton assignee aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, & by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell convey & confirm unto the said John Dalton assignee of his heirs and assigns forever, the preceeding described premises, with the appurtenances thereunto belonging.
To have and to hold the same with all the privileges & appurtenances to him the said John Dalton assignee aforesaid, his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever. And the said Charlotte Ann Robison Guardian of aforesaid, the aforesaid premises, unto the said John Dalton assignee aforesaid his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomseover, do & will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
In witness whereof, the said Charlotte Ann Robison Guardian as aforesaid, has hereunto set her hand and seal, the day and year above written.
