Know all men by these presents that we and of the county of and state of are held and firmly bound unto William McBride and Henry Jening [Jennings] of the and State aforesaid in the penal sum of six hundred dollars to the which payment payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs executors and administrators and every one of them firmly by these by these presents. sealed with our seals and dated this twelfth day of April one thousand eight hundred and forty five. The condition of the above bond is such that if the above named McBride & Jen[n]ings their heirs or legal representatives shall pay to the above named and the part and full sums of three hundred dollars lawful money of the , in the following manner, to wit: one hundred and fifty dollars by the of first day of October next and the remaining one hundred and fifty dollars: by the first day of April A. D. 1846, at the times the several payments full due as aforesaid, and in accordance with two promisory notes executed to the said and by the said McBride and Jenings and payable as aforesaid being the balance of purchase money for part of Lot No two (2) in Block No eighty (80) of the city of , commencing at S. W. corner of said Lot running N sixty eight feet on Durphy st thence east one hundred and eight feet, thence southe sixty eight feet, thence west one hundred and eight feet to the place of beginning with all the buildings on the same: Now if the said and or either of them, on the receipt of the full sum of three dollars at the times and manner specified shall make and execute and deliver unto the said McBride and Jenings their heirs or legal representatives a good warrantee Deed to the above described property in the city of and state of , then, and in that case the above bond and every thing contained to be void, otherwise to be in full force and effect.
