State of Illinois, , sct. I a Justice of the Peace, in and for the said , do certify that and Patty his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Patty Peck having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said . Know all men by these presents, that Ethan Kimball, of the county of , and State of , has this day for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred Dollars, in hand paid by Mary Ann Young of the county of , and State of , bargained and sold unto the said Mary Ann Young a certain peice, or peices of Land, or Lots of Land, Lying and situated in s addition to in said and last mentioned, as will more fully appear by refference to the plat of said addition, being Lots No. sixty seven (67) Sixty eight (68) and all that portion lying South of Knight Street, in Lot No. Sixty nine (69) all the Lots are in Block No. two (2) of s addition to the town of . To have and to hold the above des-cribed lots or peices of Land, with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to her the said Mary Ann Young her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ethan Kimball, for himself, his heirs and assigns, administrators, and executors, do warrant and forever defend the title of the Lots or peices of Land above described against every person or persons claiming by, through, or under him, or any other persons whatsoever.
