Holman having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said .

This Indenture, made and entered into, this sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty-four, between and Naomi R. [Holman] his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and Naomi R. his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of , in the State of , viz: Being part of lot No three (3) in Block one hundred and twenty one (121) according to the plot of the City of , beginning at the South West corner of said lot running along Durply Street north 5½ rods, thence East sixty eight (68) feet, thence South five and a half (5½) rods to Kimball Street, thence West sixty eight (68) feet to the corner of said lot or place of beginning, being about twenty three and a half rods of ground. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Naomi R. his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said , his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said and Naomi R. his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.—
