Whereas it has been represented to me that the Hon , (late Governor of this ) on the Evening of Friday the 6th. inst. at his residence in the Town of in the County of was shot (supposed mortally) by some person unknown who is now going at large
Now therefore I , Governor of the State of do hereby offer a reward of Threehundreddollars for the apprehension and delivery to the of aforesaid, of the person guilty of the crime aforesaid mentioned.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Done at the City of this Elaventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two of the Independence of the the Sixty Sixth and of this the Twenty Second.
