28 Apr. 1805–10 Mar. 1886. Born at Tunbridge, Orange Co., Vermont. Daughter of Stephen Mack and Temperance Bond. Moved to Detroit, 1822. Moved to Pontiac, Oakland Co., Michigan Territory, 1823. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by David Whitmer and confirmed by JS, May 1830, at Palmyra, Wayne Co., New York. Married first William Scobey, 7 Aug. 1831. Husband died, by 1835. Moved to Clay Co., Missouri, 1835. Married second Benjamin Covey, Oct. 1836, at Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, by Aug. 1837; part of forced exodus from Missouri, 1839. Settled in Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois. Moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), 1846. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley; arrived 21 Sept. 1848. Served colonizing mission with husband to Carson City, Ormsby Co., Utah Territory (later in Nevada), 1856. Returned to Salt Lake City, 1857. Died at Salt Lake City.
