23 Aug. 1796–4 Oct. 1870. Farmer. Born at Tiverton, Newport Co., Rhode Island. Son of Edward Wilcox and Anna. Married Mary McOmber of New York, 18 Mar. 1818. Moved to Pennsylvania, by 1822. Lived at Elk Creek, Erie Co., Pennsylvania, 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Evan M. Greene or John F. Boynton. Sold Erie Co. property, 1837. Moved to Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois, by June 1839. Captain in Willard Richards pioneer company to Salt Lake Valley, 1848. Moved to San Juan Bautista, Monterey Co., California, by June 1860. Died at San Juan Bautista.
