Quinn, Christopher
Biography
22 Oct. 1812–21 Nov. 1889. Farmer, merchant, county clerk, furnace manufacturer. Born in Clare, County Down, Ireland. Son of Christopher Quinn and Martha. Immigrated to U.S., 1832. Moved to Cleveland; to Euclid, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio; to Willoughby, Cuyahoga Co., and to Kirtland, Geauga Co. (later Lake Co.), Ohio. Married first Emily H. Johnson, 7 Sept. 1837, in Geauga Co. Moved to Painesville, Lake Co., by 1855. Appointed deputy clerk of Lake Co. probate court, Mar. 1855. Wife died, 14 May 1855. Married second Elizabeth M. Howden, 29 Oct. 1856, in Painesville. Town trustee, 1860–1861, 1863, in Painesville. Town clerk, 1878, in Painesville. Died in Painesville.
